APPLE CINNAMON MUFFINS 
3 1/4 c. flour
3 1/4 tsp. baking powder
3 1/4 tsp. salt
3 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. Crisco
2 beaten eggs
1 2/3 c. milk
8 to 10 oz. dried apples
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. butter

Sift together first 5 ingredients, cut in shortening until mixture is fine. Stir in eggs, milk and apples until blended. Grease cupcake pan or use papers. Put mixture in 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Combine sugar and cinnamon. Melt butter. Remove papers from muffins. Dunk muffins in butter and then roll in sugar mixture.
