PAT'S SUNDAY CORNBREAD 
1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
3/4 c. self-rising flour
1 heaping tbsp. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 to 3/4 c. buttermilk
1 stick butter, melted

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix flour, sugar, and meal together. Make a well in center and add eggs and buttermilk. Mix well. Add melted butter and stir well. Generously grease corn sticks or muffin pans (an iron skillet) and place in oven until nice and hot. Pour batter into hot greased pans and bake until nicely browned.
