1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. diced onion
1 egg
3/4 c. milk (enough to make a thick batter)

Add and blend in. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat and fry to a golden brown. Drain on paper and serve hot.
