SQUASH MANDARIN 
2 lbs. zucchini
Salt
1 tbsp. butter
1 (8 oz.) can mandarin oranges
2 tsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds

Wash squash, cut unpeeled, into crosswise slices. Cook in small amount of boiling salted water until just tender. Drain, add butter. Keep warm. Pour syrup from oranges into saucepan. Add sugar and bring to boil. Add nutmeg and orange segments. Pour over squash and sprinkle with nuts. Makes 6 servings.
