PORK KRAUT 'N APPLE SKILLET 
4-6 blade pork chops
1 pkg. sauerkraut
3 lg. onions, thinly sliced
4 tart apples, cored & sliced
1/2 c. white sugar
4 tbsp. butter or oil

Brown pork chops in heavy skillet. Remove. Cook onions in butter over low heat until limp and golden brown. Combine sauerkraut and apples in bowl. Return pork chops to pan and pile sauerkraut/apples over pork chops. In covered small saucepan, heat sugar over medium heat until it melts and turns caramel color. Pour quickly over sauerkraut and cover skillet. Cook over low heat 30 to 45 minutes.
