POLISH DILL PICKLES 
1 qt. vinegar
2 qts. water
1/2 c. pickling salt
Garlic, alum, dill
Hot chili pepper

Boil vinegar, water, and salt. Wash cucumbers. In quart jar, put sprig of dill, clove of garlic, alum (size of a pea) 1 pepper. Pack cucumbers in jar. Put sprig of dill on top. Pour hot liquid on top and seal.
