DELUXE SUGAR COOKIES | |
1 c. butter, softened 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar Mix thoroughly butter, powdered sugar, egg, vanilla and almond extract. Blend in the remaining ingredients. Cover the dough and chill 2 to 3 hours, or overnight. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough in half. Roll each half about 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into desired shapes and sprinkle with granulated sugar or candy sprinkles. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes until slightly brown. Remove promptly from sheet. About 5 dozen. |
