1 stick butter 2 oz. (2 sq.) unsweetened chocolate 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. plain flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped nuts Melt butter and chocolate in medium sauce pan. Remove from heat. Combine sugar, flour and baking powder in a large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Pour in chocolate mixture and blend well. Stir in nuts. Pour in pan. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 40 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Recipe can be doubled successfully. Makes 16. |
