SEASIDE CANDY ROLL | |
1 c. pecans 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup 1 lb. confectioners' sugar (sifted) 1 tsp. maple flavoring 1/2 tsp. salt Chop 1/2 cup nuts finely and 1/2 cup nuts coarsely. Mix together butter, corn syrup, maple flavoring and salt. Add confectioners' sugar all at once; mix thoroughly. Knead until smooth. Knead in finely chopped nuts. Shape mixture into 2 rolls, 2 inches thick. Brush with additional corn syrup and roll in coarsely chopped nuts. Wrap, chill. Slice into 1/4 inch pieces. Yields: 1 1/2 pounds candy. |
