CONGO BARS 
2/3 c. shortening, melted
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts, chopped
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Mix melted shortening and brown sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
