1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. packed brown sugar 1/4 tsp. salt Cream well. Blend in: 1 unbeaten egg 1 tsp. vanilla Add gradually: 2 c. sifted flour Shape dough into 1/2 inch balls. Place on lightly greased pan. Bake until lightly browned, 350 degrees, 10 minutes. While warm insert a toothpick in each. Dip in caramel coating. Dip bottom in nuts. Cool. CARAMEL COATING: Pkg. of caramels (light) 2/3 c. Pet milk Heat until melted. Stir. If too thick, thin with 1 or 2 tablespoons water. |
