EIGHT - LAYER CASSEROLE 
1 c. uncooked rice
1 c. whole kernel corn, drained
1 c. green beans, drained
1/2 c. finely chopped onion and green pepper
1 lb. uncooked ground beef
2 cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. water, with each of sauce
4 strips bacon, cut in halve
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place in layers in 2 quart pan, rice, corn, and beans. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Mix 1 can tomato sauce with water and pour over. Add onions, green pepper, and beef. Sprinkle salt, pepper. Mix 2nd can tomato with water, pour over casserole. Cover with bacon. Cover with lid, cook 1 hour at 350 degrees. Uncover and bake 1/2 hour longer until bacon crisp.
