CHEESE STRATA 
12 slices white bread, crust removed
4 c. milk
8 eggs
1 lb. mild cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tsp. mustard
2 tsp. grated onions
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

In a buttered 9x13 inch pan, layer bread and cheese on top. Beat eggs, milk, mustard, onion and seasonings. Pour over all. Dot with butter. Refrigerate overnight. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cut into squares, pouring a bit of ham sauce over each portion as it is served.

HAM SAUCE:

Make 2 cups of white sauce. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup fresh or canned mushrooms, 3/4 cup diced, cooked ham, 1 tablespoon onion and 4 tablespoons shredded cheese.
