Serves 50. 1 box gelatin (note a whole box) 2 lg. cans pineapple and juice 1 lg. can Royal Ann cherries 1/2 lb. almonds 1 pt. boiling water 3/4 c. sugar 1 qt. whipping cream 1 qt. mayonnaise 1 tsp. salt Soak gelatin in 1 cup pineapple juice 5 minutes. Add and chop almonds in small pieces, chop pineapple. When gelatin begins to congeal add mayonnaise, whipped cream, cherries, pineapple, almonds and salt. Pour in flat pan. Place in refrigerator until firm. Cut into squares and serve on lettuce. |
