LEMON BAR MAGIC 
1 c. + 2 tbsp. flour
6 tbsp. (3/4 stick) butter
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. cream cheese, soft
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour an 8 inch square pan.

In a large bowl, beat together 1 cup of the flour, butter, confectioners' sugar and cream cheese until crumbly. Press the dough into the bottom of the pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

Combine remaining flour with sugar, eggs, lemon juice, lemon rind and baking powder. Beat with mixer until smooth. Spread mixture over baked layer and bake 25 minutes longer.
