1/4 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries, drained

Cream first 5 ingredients; add strawberries alternately with dry ingredients. Drop by scant teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Pour glace over cookies. Sprinkle with coconut.

GLACE:

Combine 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons strawberry juice and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Heat to dissolve sugar.
