FRESH ORANGE COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sour cream
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. orange juice
3 tbsp. grated orange peel

FROSTING:

1/4 c. butter, melted
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
2-3 tbsp. orange juice

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add sour cream and eggs, blend well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off. Add flour, soda and salt, baking powder, orange juice and orange peel; mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 11 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets immediately.

In small bowl, combine all frosting ingredients, beat until smooth. Frost warm cookies. 6 dozen.
