SWEDISH CREAM WAFERS 
COOKIE DOUGH:

1 c. butter
1/3 c. whipping cream
2 c. unsifted flour

FILLING:

1 egg yolk
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Food coloring (optional)

Mix cookie dough ingredients thoroughly; chill. Roll 1/8 inch thick. Cut with 1 1/2 inch round cookie cutter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes (check after 10 minutes). After cookies are cool, put together with a filling like a sandwich (ingredients above). Yield about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
