GLORIFIED RICE 
3 c. cold, cooked rice
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. (2 c.) whipping cream, whipped
20 oz. can crushed (or tidbit) pineapple, drained
10 oz. jar (1 c.) maraschino cherries, drained, quartered
1 c. (1 lg.) tart apple, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Or 4 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed.

In large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
