CHEESE & STEAK SANDWICHES | |
8 oz. beef tip steaks, 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick 2 hoagy or French style rolls 1 med. onion, sliced 1 sm. green pepper, cut into strips 2 tbsp. vegetable. oil 1/4 c. pasteurized process cheese 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Cut beef into narrow strips about 1/2 inch wide. Warm rolls in microwave oven or wrap in foil and heat 5 to 7 minutes in 350 degree oven. Meanwhile saute onion and pepper in oil in large skillet over medium heat. When almost tender add beef strips. Stir fry 2 minutes. Season lightly. Spoon an equal amount of beef - vegetable mixture atop of the bottom half of the rolls. Top with cheese and the roll tops. Makes 2 servings. |
