OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. Quaker Oats
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Stir oats in boiling water, cover and let set 10 to 15 minutes. Beat together butter, sugar, and brown sugar. To butter and sugars, add vanilla and eggs. Then add oat mixture. Mix together flour and remaining ingredients and add to above. Grease and flour a 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of cake when cooled.
