SAUERKRAUT POTATO HOT DISH | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 medium onion 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 can mushroom soup 1 qt. sauerkraut or 27 oz. can 5 medium potatoes, cooked, cooled and shredded 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Brown ground beef with onion, salt and pepper. Drain ground beef. Combine with 1 can mushroom soup. Put this in the bottom of large casserole (grease or spray with non stick cooking spray). Spread sauerkraut on top of meat mixture. Then layer shredded potatoes on top of the sauerkraut. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Add grated cheese on top. Return to oven for 15 minutes just to melt cheese. |
