1 gal. sliced unpeeled cucumbers
4 lg. onions, sliced
1/2 c. dairy salt

Let stand overnight, then drain. 1/4 tsp. turmeric 3 c. sugar 1 qt. vinegar 3 red hot peppers, chopped

Place all ingredients in large kettle and bring to hard boil. Add cucumbers and onions; boil again for one minute. Pack and seal in hot jars.
