AUNT ESTHER'S BANANA SPLIT CAKE 
2 egg whites, beaten
2 1/2 sticks butter, softened
3 c. powdered sugar
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
2 lg. cans crushed pineapple, drained
Bananas
12 oz. tub Cool Whip

For the crust, mix together and the cracker crumbs, 1 1/2 sticks melted butter, and 1 cup powdered sugar. Press in the bottom of a pan.

For the second layer, beat together the remaining softened butter, 2 cups powdered sugar and beaten egg whites and spread over the crust.

For the third layer, spread the pineapple over the second layer and then cover with slices bananas. Top with Cool Whip and refrigerate. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
