CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1/2 c. oil
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk

Icing:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. cocoa
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Place sugar and flour in a bowl; mix well. Bring to a rapid boil the oil, water, butter and cocoa. Remove from heat. Pour over flour and sugar mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla, soda, buttermilk and eggs. Pour into a greased pan (9 x 13).

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Ice while hot!
