CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
2 lbs. candied cherries, chopped
2 lbs. candied pineapple, chopped
2 lbs. raisins
6 c. chopped pecans
4 1/2 c. plain flour, divided
1 stick butter, softened
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 c. fruit juice (any kind)
3/4 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. ground cloves

Mix together in a large mixing bowl, candied fruits, raisins and nuts. Add 1 cup sifted flour into fruit-nut mixture and stir to coat thoroughly. In separate bowl, cream well butter, brown sugar, milk and juice. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

In another bowl sift together remaining 3 1/2 cups of flour with soda and spices. While stirring on low speed, add flour-spice mixture to creamed mixture and mix until smooth. Stir in fruit mixture until all ingredients are distributed evenly. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets and bake at 275 degrees for approximately 20 minutes.
