1 lb. bacon 24 pitted dates 24 almonds 1 can sliced water chestnuts 1 cup of brown sugar Heat oven to 400°F. Cut bacon in half, width wise. Place 1 almond into 1 date. Take a slice of chestnut and date and wrap a 1/2 piece of bacon around and put a toothpick through it. Cover with brown sugar. Place on a shallow cooking sheet. Bake about 10-15 minutes or until bacon is crispy and brown sugar is melted. Submitted by: Debra Eastridge |
