HAMBURGER CASSEROLE 
2 slices bacon, diced
4 med. potatoes, peeled & sliced thinly
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter (butter)
1 lb. ground chuck
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can spaghetti sauce with meat

Cook bacon until crisp and browned. Add potatoes, cover and cook slowly for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. (Sprinkle with salt.) Put in shallot 1 1/2 quart casserole. Melt butter in the same skillet and add meat and onions. Cook until beef loses its red color, breaking it up with a fork. Pour the mixture over the potatoes, cover with spaghetti sauce and bake about 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
