TURKEY CREOLE | |
1 1/2 tsp. oil 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms or canned, drained 1 lg. onion, minced 1 bay leaf 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 lg. green pepper, diced 1 (24 oz.) can chopped stewed tomatoes 1 pkg. (4) turkey cutlets Preheat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook until brown. Stir in remaining ingredients, except turkey. Simmer, uncovered, about 6 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Arrange turkey in shallow baking dish; spread sauce over it. Bake, uncovered, in preheated 375 degree oven about 20 minutes, basting occasionally. Cook until turkey turns from pink to white. |
