1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. water
1 tbsp. oil
Food coloring

Cook mixture over medium heat and stir constantly for about 3 minutes or until it forms a ball. Turn onto waxed paper and knead until smooth. Store in airtight container or ziplock bag.

NOTE: Play dough works well for making many kinds of science displays.
