ONIONS, SWISS STYLE 
2 sweet onions, sliced thin
2 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper
2 c. grated Swiss cheese
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 c. rich milk
1 c. buttered bread crumbs
Crisp toast

Separate onion slices into rings and saute in butter until golden, then cover pan and simmer 10 minutes. Put in buttered baking dish, season, and cover with cheese. Dilute soup with milk, and pour over cheese. Top with crumbs, and bake in moderate oven, 375 degrees, 1/2 hour. Serve as a dunk with crisp toast. Makes 4 servings.
