STRAWBERRIES ROMANOFF 
1 pt. fresh strawberries
2 tbsp. sugar
1 env. unflavored gelatin
2/3 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. brandy
1 tbsp. orange liqueur
4 1/2 oz. container cool Whip
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
or use 1/2 tsp. brandy extract, or 3 tbsp. orange juice

Reserve a few berries for garnish. Slice remaining berries and combine with 2 tablespoons sugar. Combine unflavored gelatin and sugar. Add 1 cup boiling water and stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in brandy and liqueur. Chill until slightly thickened. Fold in whipped topping and pour into 5 or 6 cup mold. Chill until set but nor firm. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Chill until slightly thickened. Fold in strawberries and spoon over mixture in molds. Chill until firm and unmold. Garnish with strawberries.
