LAYERED SPINACH PEA SALAD | |
1/2 lb. fresh spinach, tore in pieces 2 sm. heads lettuce 1/2 c. chopped celery 6 hard cooked eggs, chopped 1 1/2 c. frozen peas, pour boiling water over and drain well 10 green onion, chopped 1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled 1 can sliced waterchestnuts Layer above ingredients in order given. Combine and cover completely with: 2 c. mayonnaise 1 (4 oz.) pkg. buttermilk salad dressing mix 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. Top with 1 1/2 cups grated cheese. Serves 12 to 15. |
