MAPLE GINGER COOKIES 
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. maple syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
4 c. flour (about)

Sift dry ingredients together. Mix ingredients to make a stiff dough. Roll 1/8 inch thick, cut. Bake on greased tin at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Makes 3-4 dozen.
