CHOCOLATE MINT COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Chocolate mints
Walnuts

Cream shortening, eggs, water, vanilla and sugars. Add flour and soda. Refrigerate 2 hours. Grease cookie sheets.

Take 1 teaspoon and form into a ball. Push mint into dough and cover. Place 1/2 walnut on top. Place cookies on sheet about 2" apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 65 cookies.
