FROSTED EGGNOG LOGS 
3 c. flour
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and rum flavoring; mix until well combined. Add flour and nutmeg. Shape dough into 3-inch long logs, about 1/2 inch wide. Arrange logs on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15-17 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.

RUM FROSTING:

Combine 3 tablespoons butter, 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Gradually add more sifted powdered sugar and 2 to 3 tablespoons milk, beating until the frosting spreads easily. Tint frosting with food coloring, if desired.
