ICE CREAM IN A CAN 
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. cream
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla (or desired flavor)
1 lb. coffee can with lid
3 lb. coffee can with lid
Crushed ice
Rock salt

Combine all ingredients and stir well. Pour mixture into a 1 lb. coffee can and place lid on securely. Set this can inside a 3 lb. coffee can. Pack well with crushed ice and sprinkle with rock salt. Place lid on large can and grab a friend and roll can back 'n forth for 10-15 minutes. Open can and wipe salt and ice from lid. Ice cream will be frozen around sides of can. Mix slightly and enjoy.
