FINN BREAD 
4 c. warm water
4 tbsp. lard or Crisco
1/4 c. sugar
3 c. graham flour
7-9 c. white flour (I use 7 c.)
Anise seed to taste
2 tbsp. salt
3 sections yeast or 3 tablets

Dissolve lard, sugar and salt in the warm water. Dissolve yeast in small amount of water. Add to other mixture. Add flours and anise seed, about 2 teaspoons. Knead for a few minutes in a dish. Cover and raise double. Knead and put in bread pans. Raise double. Bake at 375 degrees for about 50 minutes. When done rub butter on top. You will not know that anise seed flavor is in the bread.
