GRAHAM CRACKER BROWN BREAD | |
1 3/4 c. flour 2 c. graham cracker crumb 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 c. shortening 3/4 c. molasses 1 3/4 c. buttermilk 1 1/4 c. raisins Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except raisins. Stir until moistened and then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add raisins. Pour into loaf pan and bake 60 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in bread comes out clean. |
