VEAL ROAST 
1 (2 lb.) veal roast
2 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. dark rum
3/4 c. dry white wine
1/4 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. thyme
6 grains black pepper
2 cloves
1 bay leaf
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 stick cinnamon

Brown meat in shortening. Combine all ingredients into a crock pot. Add meat. Cook on low for 6-7 hours (until tender).
