LUSCIOUS LEMON CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. lemon extract

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients add alternately with buttermilk - stir in lemon juice and flavoring - pour into 3 greased and floured 8 inch cake pans.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. angel flake coconut
