BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs (6 if small)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
3 c. sugar

Mix butter and soft butter until it looks like ice cream. Add 1 egg at a time; mix well. Add buttermilk and flour alternately. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
