FRENCH FRIED GREEN PEPPER 
4-6 green peppers
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
1/2 c. salad oil

Core, wash, and drain peppers. Cut into rings. Combine eggs, milk, and salt in a bowl. Dip pepper rings into egg mixture then into crumbs. Allow to stand for 10 minutes to dry. Heat oil in large heavy skillet; add rings. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. Drain on paper towels. Serves 6-8.
