CORN MEAL MUSH | |
1 c. corn meal (yellow) 1 tsp. salt 1 c. cold water 3 c. boiling water Combine corn meal, salt and the cold water. Gradually pour into boiling water, stirring constantly. Return to boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; cover. Continue cooking over low heat about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Put in a loaf pan and refrigerate until firm. Slice and fry until crisp. Top with syrup or favorite topping. |
