1/2 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
5 tbsp. sugar
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. walnuts, chopped
2 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c. maraschino cherries, sliced
Extra cherries, sliced

Cream butter, then mix in remaining ingredients. Blend well and press the mixture into a 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Place in freezer until well chilled, then cover with a thin layer of frosting. Cut into small squares or bars, decorate with a thin slice of cherry. Return cookies to freezer until needed. Makes 2 dozen bars.
