MICROWAVE BROWNIES 
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Place the chocolate and butter in a 4-quart microwave-safe bowl. Cook on high for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until the butter melts and the chocolate starts to melt. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir in the sugar until well blended. Stir in the eggs and the vanilla. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring until well blended. Pour the batter into a 8-inch round greased microwave-safe baking dish.

Place a microwave-safe saucer upside down in the center of the microwave oven. Place the dish on top of the sauce. Cook on high 6 minutes, rotating the dish 1/4 turn after each 2 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let dish stand directly on the countertop until completely cool. Cut into 16 brownies.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
