STUFFED CABBAGE 
1 head cabbage
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion
2 cans tomato sauce
2 c. cooked rice
1 c. grated American cheese
Salt & pepper

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Add rice, 1/2 can tomato sauce, salt and pepper, and cheese; stir well and set aside.

Meanwhile, carefully remove large leaves from cabbage by cutting through spine. Boil leaves until tender (about 3 or 5 minutes), then drain and cool. Stuff leaves, put meat and rice mixture on edge, roll up. Pour 1/2 can tomato sauce in pan. Layer stuffed leaves, seam down, in pan. Cover with 1 can of tomato sauce. Bake, covered 30 minutes at 350 degrees then 10 more minutes, uncovered.
