CHOCOLATE PIE 
5 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1/4 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked pie crust

Meringue:

3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix flour, sugar and cocoa. Add milk and egg yolks. Cook until thick. Add butter and vanilla.

For meringue, beat egg whites; add cream of tartar and beat until soft peaks. Add sugar and beat until stiff peaks. Top pie with meringue, sealing edges.

Bake until light brown.
