HOMEMADE VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
1 pkg. beef stew meat (no fat)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pkg. (frozen silver queen corn off the cob, creamed if you have some)
1 pkg. frozen okra (16 oz.) or fresh
1 lg. potato (cut into tiny cubes)
1 lg. carrot (cut into tiny cubes)
1 lg. can tomato or V8 juice
2 cubes beef bouillon cubes

You can add 1/4 cup uncooked rice if you want. Cook beef in large pot with about 8 cups of water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer until meat falls apart, about 3 hours. Add okra continue to simmer until okra falls apart (about 1 hour). Take a potato masher and mash okra. Take meat out of pot, cut or shred it with a knife. Return to pot. May have to keep adding water; try to keep at least 8 cups of water. Add 2 bouillon cubes to the pot. Add carrot, rice and potato cubes. Continue cooking until tender (about 1 hour). Add 1 package silver queen corn and 1 large can tomato juice. Salt and pepper to taste. Bring to boil. Serve with cornbread.
