GRAMMY'S CARAMEL CORN 
6 qts. popcorn
2 c. brown sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. white syrup
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Bring sugar, butter, syrup and cream of tartar to boil. Boil on low for 5 minutes. Add baking soda; stir well. Pour over popcorn and nuts; mix. Spread on greased large cookie sheet. Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees. Store in a sealed container.
